Lincoln's Inn, one of the Inns of Court, where barristers are trained and work, is celebrating its 600th anniversary this year. Its three-acre gardens are a tranquil respite from nearby busy streets, High Holborn and Chancery Lane.
Following a three-year £26m development of the Great Hall and Library buildings, the area around the Great Hall has been transformed and now includes an exotic terrace of hardy palms and a long border which mixes formal elements with a contemporary twist.
The newly planted woodland-style area is a tapestry of shade-loving plants and spring bulbs. Other garden areas include two extensive mixed shrub borders and the decorative Kitchen Garden.
As part of the Open Gardens Weekend (11th & 12th June 2022), guests can enjoy guided tours by the Head Gardener as well as falconry, food stalls, music performances and children’s games.
